eHarmony single mother

More than 8 million single mothers are raising their children alone in the United States. With Mother's Day fast approaching, eHarmony gift subscriptions are an ideal way to celebrate them with the gift of a lasting relationship.

With the frequency of divorce in today's society, many women are finding they are all alone in doing the work of two parents -- far too often at the expense of their social lives. But for single parents, the yearning for romance doesn't fade amidst hectic schedules. eHarmony, the Internet's fastest growing relationship service, caters to single mothers with features that are safe, convenient, and comfortable for meeting eligible men who are matched with them on 29 compatible dimensions.

eHarmony lawsuit

John Claassen is taking eHarmony.com to court, because the popular online matchmaker refused to find him the perfect mate.

Why? Because he is married.

Technically, Claassen says, he is legally separated. But that's not good enough for eHarmony, which says it is in the business of matching singles "free of relationship commitments." That puts him in cyber-dating limbo.

"Most people don't file a suit to get a date," Claassen said Friday after filing a civil rights suit last week in Alameda County Superior Court. "If I had my druthers, I'd be divorced by now. I'm emotionally in a different state than I am legally," the 36-year- old Emeryville lawyer said.

eHarmony perfect matches

eHarmony is the only online relationship service dedicated to building the relationships of both singles and married couples. The site has more than 16 million registered users, and adds 10-15 thousand new users every day. eHarmony has members from all 50 states and more than 200 countries.

eHarmony profile verification

Today eHarmony announced the release of eHarmony RelyID, a new online ID verification service for eHarmony members. The service, which is a partnership with RelyID, a leading provider of age and identity verification services, gives eHarmony members the opportunity to easily validate key profile details which are viewed by other potential matches.

RelyID provides a method for members of the eHarmony community to advertise their commitment to potential matches via a simple identity verification process. Using publicly available information, RelyID validates a user's first name, last name, age, and address, though only the first name, age, and city of residence are actually displayed to other users. Once verified, a user's profile features an ever-present RelyID badge, which shows that their personal information has been verified.

Complaint about eHarmony

EHARMONY, the dating site of choice for those looking to get hitched, has a longstanding "straight people only" policy. In May, Linda Carlson sued the site because of it. Her application was denied after she tried to use the site to meet another woman.

Carlson isn't the only one peeved at eHarmony. The day she filed her complaint, the company prevailed in a lawsuit filed by a man who said the site discriminated against him for being "legally separated" from his wife. eHarmony refused his application, saying it doesn't cater to the married, only to the marriage-minded. The previous month, eHarmony took flak for rejecting the applications of short men. Apparently the site found them unlovable, or at least unprofitable.
